Meet Ru: The Heart Behind Hand-Stitched Heritage

Osiyo! I’m Ru, and I am glad you are taking the time to read about me on my “Meet Ru” page! I am so thrilled to share my journey with you! At just 14 years old, I embrace my Native American heritage, which includes Cherokee, Apache, Chippewa, and Shawnee roots. My passion for crafting authentic Native American goods is deeply intertwined with my family traditions and the stories and teachings passed down to me from my grandfather, a master artisan.

Ru’s Hand-Stitched Heritage is not just a store. It is so much more. My website, store, and blog, Native Echoes, are each a celebration of culture and artistry. Every one of my handcrafted pieces reflect the skills and stories that have been passed down through generations. When you support my work through Ru’s Hand-Stitched Heritage, you help preserve the vibrant cultural legacy of the Native Americans, specifically the Eastern Woodland Tribes. Thank you for being part of my journey, and I cannot wait to share my creations with you!

Discover My Journey and Passion

I love the stories my grandfather has told me over the years. He has passed his love for Native American culture, crafting, and practices down to me and my siblings. I started Ru’s Hand-Stitched Heritage so I can follow in my grandfather’s footsteps. Join me as I share my story, rooted in Native American traditions, and my journey of crafting authentic pieces that honor my heritage. Let’s celebrate culture together!

Cultural Heritage and Craftsmanship

My work reflects the rich traditions of my Native American roots. It blends artistry with the stories of my ancestors. Each piece is a tribute to our heritage.

A Young Artisan’s Vision

As a 14-year-old, I strive to preserve and share the beauty of Native American crafts as a way to ensure our traditions live on for future generations.
